MISSOULA, Mont. - Utah Valley soccer notched its first shutout of the season and snapped a four-game skid in the process, picking up a 1-0 win over Idaho at the Nike Montana Cup on Friday afternoon.

Jadeshia Colebrook and Lauren Sack combined for 10 saves and another team save gave UVU (2-4-0) a total of 11 on the day.

"We had excellent team defense today," said head coach Brent Anderson. "We were very organized and the girls played very committed. We also created some good chances to score. It was a very good win for us."

Sophomore Haley Curtis provided the game's only scoring, picking up her second goal of the year just under 19 minutes in on an assist from Natalie Young.

Colebrook started in goal and recorded four saves in the first half while Sack played the final 45 minutes and picked up six saves.

The Vandals (2-3-2) had a 22-17 edge in shots overall including 11-9 on goal.

The Wolverines will stay in Missoula and face Montana on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
