Box Score

ST. GEORGE, Utah - Utah Valley scored midway through the second half but it wasn't enough as Dixie State scored a late goal to beat the Wolverines, 2-1.

Dixie drew first blood, scoring off a free kick in the first half that got just past UV keeper, Mallory Schott. Schott got her hand on the wind-aided kick but the ball found the corner of the net.

UV fought back and tied the game near the 60th minute. Nicole Archibald sent a ball forward to Adrienne Schneider, who found Andi Bagdan alone. Bagdan found the net to tied the score at 1-1.

The Rebels struck late, scoring the decisive goal in the 78th minute and were able to hold on for the victory.

The Wolverines will return to action Sunday when they travel to Las Vegas on Sunday to take on UNLV. Start time is scheduled at 11 a.m. (PST)
