OREM, Utah - Coming off its worse loss of the season, Utah Valley looks to get back to its winning ways as the Wolverines head south to begin a four-match road trip to take on Dixie State and UNLV. "We had a good practice today," UV head coach Brent Anderson said. "I feel that we have been able to re-focus and re-energize for the games this weekend." UV will play in St. George version of the Rebels Friday evening at 7 p.m. before traveling to play the Las Vegas Rebels Sunday at 11 a.m. Utah Valley has posted a 1-1-1 record against Dixie State. The Wolverines and Rebels last played last season when the two teams played to a 1-1 tie in a game that was suspended due to threatening weather. Each school won a game apiece in 2003, the only year the two teams played twice. Dixie won 3-2 on Sept. 27 in St. George while the Wolverines won by the same score in Orem on Oct. 2. UNLV won the only game played between the two teams, a 3-0 victory over UV in 2005. The Rebels have never played in Orem. Dixie State marks the only non-Division I opponent on the Wolverines schedule this season. The Rebels have scored plenty of goals this season, averaging 3.45 goals per game this season. The Rebels recently had their five-game unbeaten streak snapped by in-state rival Nevada Reno. UNLV is led by Katie Carney's three goals and two assists. As the Wolverines season winds down, they remain on the road next week as they will head to the Dakotas to take on former United Soccer Conference opponents North Dakota State and South Dakota State. UV will play in Fargo, N.D. on Friday, Oct. 12 and Brookings, S.D. on Sunday, Oct. 14.
