INW Best XI - Week 8 | INW Best XI - Week 9

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Utah Valley University senior Haley Curtis has been recognized by the Inland Northwest Soccer News for the second consecutive week, earning two straight nods in the publication's Best XI of the Week.

A native of Yakima, Wash., Curtis was initially tabbed by INWsoccernews following her stellar performance in UVU's 2-0 victory over Kansas City on Oct. 11. That night, Curtis assisted on the go-ahead goal and added a tally herself to lift the Wolverines to three points in the WAC standings.

Curtis' name was again listed in the INW Best XI the following week, earning the recognition after tallying the game-winning goal to send UVU to a 3-2 overtime victory at Idaho last Sunday. Curtis also recorded an assist in that match.

For the season, the senior leads the team in both total points (18) and assists (6) and holds a share of the team lead in goals scored with six more.

INWsoccernews is an online publication that tracks local and national soccer stories with ties to the Inland Northwest. Its weekly selection of the Best XI recognizes the play of both male and female student-athletes from the junior college level all the way to NCAA Division I.

Curtis will take to Clyde Field for the final time Friday night as Utah Valley takes on Grand Canyon at 7 p.m. for Senior Night. The Wolverines could potentially secure a berth in the WAC Tournament with a victory.
