Softball drops two at BYU to conclude regular season

Utah Valley now turns its attention to the WAC Tournament, which begins Thursday in Seattle.

At Utah Valley University ...

SENIOR (2014): Appeared in 34 games at the plate, including 15 starts, as well as 17 appearances in the circle with one start ... batted .265 (13-for-49) with one home run, three RBI, and seven runs scored ... in the circle, went 1-1 on the year with a 3.67 ERA ... threw 21.0 innings, allowing 17 runs (11 earned) on 26 hits with 19 strikeouts and 11 walks ... had four multi-hit games on the season ... hit her first career home run during a 2-for-4 day in UVU's 5-3 win over Southern Utah on April 23 ... went 2-for-3 with a double at Utah on April 21 ... picked up the first win of her collegiate career on March 8 against Manhattan in one of her best outings of the season ... she threw a season-best 3.1 innings against the Jaspers and struck out a season-high five on the way to the win ... earned her first career save the very next day against Siena, recording the final six outs of a 3-1 Wolverine win ... made her first career start at No. 1 Oregon April 29.

JUNIOR (2013): Named to the PCSC Commissioner's Honor Roll ... appeared in 36 games for UVU, getting 14 starts (11 in the outfield, three at DP) ... batted .227 (10-for-44) and scored 12 runs .. went a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen bases on the year ... began the season with a 3-for-3 outing against South Dakota on Feb. 8 ... went 2-for-3 in an 11-1 win over Nevada ... turned in a .277 on-base percentage.
