Wolverines Drop Senior Day Contest to San Jose State

Seniors Amanda Perez and Deianna Russell were honored prior to the game.

At Utah Valley
SENIOR ~ (2012): Named to the All-GWC Second Team and a PCSC Honorable Mention selection ... played in 56 games, started 52 (at catcher and DP) ... hit .261 with six doubles and 20 RBIs ... also scored six runs, walked five times, slugged .301 and posted a .290 on base percentage ... committed just one error for a .994 fielding percentage and threw out nine would-be base stealers ... in PCSC-only play hit .283 with two doubles and six RBIs ... had two four-game hitting streak, seven multi-hit games and six multi-RBI contests.

JUNIOR ~ (2011): Named to the All-PCSC First Team and the All-GWC Second Team ... played in all 50 games and started 49 of them ... at the beginning of the year switched off between playing behind the plate and as the DP but by the end of year was an every day catcher ... hit .304 with six homers, five doubles, 32 RBIs, slugged .474 and posted an on base percentage of .356 ... in PCSC-only play she led UVU with a .414 batting average and hit five dingers and drove home 7 runs ... posted an 8-game hitting streak towards the end of the year and had nine multi-hit games ... threw out 11 would-be base stealers and posted a .978 fielding percentage.

High School: Prepped at Chatsworth HS in Chatsworth, Calif. ... lettered all four years at Chatsworth High in softball and lettered one year in volleyball ... batted 8-for-10 in city section playoffs ... a two-time Second Team All-League, and was also First Team All-League her junior year ... was a team MVP three times and a three year scholar athlete.
