Orem, UT- The Utah Valley State softball team ended its fall season by beating BYU 3-1 and losing to Dixie State 4-3 on Saturday.

In the win over BYU, the Wolverines scored two runs in the top of the first inning. BYU added another run later in the game. The score remained knotted at 2-1 until Natalie Paulsen hit a solo-homerun in the seventh inning.

Freshman Ashly Forsberg earned the win by striking out four and scattering seven hits. Jackie Roberts took the loss in the game against Dixie State.
