SEATTLE -- A rain-soaked Thursday afternoon brought the WAC Tournament to a halt, pushing Utah Valley University's quarterfinal matchup with top-seeded New Mexico State to Friday morning at 10 a.m MT.

The time change is contingent on the completion of the tournament's second game between second-seed Kansas City and third-seed and host Seattle University. That game was postponed with one out in the bottom of the second and UMKC leading 2-1. It is scheduled to resume Thursday night at 9:00 p.m.

Utah Valley reached the quarterfinal round courtesy of a 4-1 victory over Bakersfield in the tournament's opening game on Thursday morning. Junior Erin Romero went 3-for-3 with a home run while Amanda Robinson belted her 11th homer of the season. Senior pitcher Josi Summers threw a complete game, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out two.

A complete recap of Thursday's win over CSUB can be found here.

UVU is 0-2 against NM State this season, who will enter Friday with a 29-21 record. The Aggies took second to Grand Canyon in the WAC regular season title race, but take the top seed into the tournament as GCU is ineligible for the postseason as it transitions from NCAA Division II.
