OREM, Utah -- Utah Valley University head softball coach Nikki Palmer announced Thursday the first-ever adidas All-American Camp -- a comprehensive softball camp for all youth players looking to improve their game in all areas.

Instructors at the camp include UVU softball coaches Palmer and Aaron Vail, the 2014 Wolverine softball team, and three current and former members of Team USA Softball: Ashley Charters, Kaitlin Cochran, and Sam Fischer.

The combined résumés of those three guest coaches include two NCAA national championships, two world championships, and an NCAA batting title.

"I am so excited to start this tradition of excellence and culture of knowledge in the state of Utah and specifically Utah County," said Palmer. "Kaitlin, Ashley and Sam were beyond stellar in their softball careers and continue to be successful in the sport. They bring a huge wealth of knowledge and will surely provide an elite and positive experience for every athlete that attends. We would like to thank Adidas, Mizuno and Firehouse Subs for their support as we try to grow the All American camp.

The camp will be held Jan. 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Legend's Sport and Fitness in Lehi, Utah. Registration is $300 and is open to any and all entrants. The registration fee covers a brand new Mizuno Whiteout bat -- which retails at $250 -- a camp T-shirt, boxed lunch, and five hours of some of the most comprehensive softball training in Utah County.
