OREM, Utah - The Utah Valley University women's volleyball team will play its lone exhibition game of the season Friday when it hosts the annual Green & White Match. The contest will be held at 6 p.m. in the PE Building and admission will be free of charge.

The Wolverines, who enter their first season of play in the Western Athletic Conference, were recently tabbed to finish third in the WAC's preseason poll. A year ago, UVU won both the regular season and conference tournament titles in its final season of play in the Great West Conference.

Senior setter Brookelyn Hall and sophomore middle blocker Lauren Stringham were also named preseason all-conference by the WAC earlier in the week.

In all, the Wolverines return five starters and eight letterwinners from a team that went 18-9 in 2012. UVU also welcomes six newcomers to the fold this season and fans will have the opportunity to get their first look at them when they take the court on Friday.

Utah Valley will officially begin its 2013 campaign by hosting the La Quinta Inn & Suites Invitational next weekend. The Wolverines will open the season against Arizona State of the Pac-12 Conference on Friday, Aug. 30 and will then play North Dakota State and No. 24 Wichita State the following day.
